Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT #151242
Lauren Cromer, LMFT, MA
I’m a licensed therapist for queer and neurodivergent teens & adults with anxiety and OCD.
I specialize in LGBTQIA+-affirming and neurodivergent-affirming (ASD and ADHD) therapy for teens, adults, and couples, navigating anxiety and OCD.
I am a trauma-informed clinician trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I am passionate about working with individuals struggling with overthinking, rumination, indecision, self-esteem issues, shame, perfectionism, stress, overwhelm and uncertainty. I find it deeply meaningful to create a safe, affirming space for clients who have spent much of their lives feeling like outsiders—whether due to growing up queer in a heteronormative world, moving through life as a neurodivergent person in a neurotypical society, or feeling “non-traditional” in any way.
My work centers on helping clients reconnect with their truth and build lives that feel authentic, embodied, and aligned with their values.
I choose to show up as a therapist who is compassionate, collaborative, human-centered, accepting, inclusive and authentic.
I draw from evidence-based practices like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Person-Centered Therapy, and Attachment-Based Therapy — all tailored to your specific needs. I also center LGBTQIA+ affirming care, neurodivergent-affirming therapy, and trauma-informed support in everything I do.
That means: I won’t pathologize your sensitivity, intensity, or the unique ways your brain works. Together, we’ll explore your experiences with care, curiosity, and radical self-compassion — and begin building a life that reflects who you really are.
Hi, I’m lauren cromer (she/her)
A little about me:
As a bi-racial, bisexual therapist with ADHD and lived experience as a trauma survivor, I know how powerful it can be to feel truly seen — especially in the places you’ve been told to hide or minimize. I hold space for the complex intersections of identity, family, culture, and mental health with warmth, attunement, and an honest sense of humor.
I identify as a pansexual, bi-racial, neurodivergent woman with lived experience as a trauma survivor. It is my personal healing work that drew me to this work, and it is now my honor to walk alongside people on their own healing paths. Through my personal and professional experience, I have learned the importance of honoring each client’s pacing and meeting people where they are.
Therapy with me is relational, real, and rooted in your lived experience. You don’t need to show up polished or have it all figured out. You just need to show up — and we’ll figure it out together.
This is a space where:
Women have agency
Survivors are believed
All bodies and abilities are honored
Neurodivergence is celebrated
Queerness is affirmed
Black lives matter
Sex work is real work
Consent is a non-negotiable
Whether you're managing OCD, anxiety, ADHD, ASD or just feeling stuck in a life that doesn’t quite feel like your own — I’m here to help you find clarity, confidence, and a new way forward.
Let’s build something that actually fits you.
